Hannibal Lecter has found a home at NBC. It has been reported that the network has sealed a deal with Bryan Fuller to create a broadcast series based on the serial killer character in Thomas Harris’ bestselling novels.

The “Pushing Daisies” creator and “Heroes” writter, Fuller, is currently working on the script. If NBC likes it, the network will pick up the show straight to series with a 13-episode commitment. Fuller additionally serves as the executive producer along with Martha De Laurentiis, who has produced three Hannibal feature films: “Hannibal”, “Red Dragon” and “Hannibal Rising“.

There is no other detail about “Hannibal” TV project. Previously, it was said that the small screen adaptation will center on Dr. Hannibal Lecter’s early days, namely his time going head-to-head with a young FBI criminal profiler named Will Graham, who is haunted by his ability to empathize with serial killers.

In another report about new TV project, The CW has bought “Danny Hollywood”, a travel fantasy musical project based on the successful Israeli series of the same name. “Easy A” scribe Bert V. Royal will pen the script, and team up with Mark Harmon, Eric & Kim Tannenbaum and Martha Haight to executive produce it.

The show follows a young documentary filmmaker who travels back in time in order to prevent the death of her 1990s musical idol Danny Hollywood. She, however, finds that the story is even more complicated than she thought.

Pushing daisies episodes had an interesting plot because of which it was loved by viewers and was given high ratings. Not only this during its run it received several nominations and awards. It had received seven Emmy awards. This only shows that the series were critically acclaimed.

But even after being loved by viewers and received well by the critics the Pushing Daisies episodes were not able to stay for longer. The series premiered in October 2007 and was ended on 13^th June 2009. Its not been a long time since the last episode was aired so many of the viewers would be remembering the series.

For those who have little remembrance, Pushing Daisies series was centered on the life of a pie maker named Ned (Lee Pace) who had received special powers of bringing the dead alive just by touching his/her body. But the powers had some limitations also like he couldn’t touch the person again whom he made alive as that would cause him/her to die again. And the moment he would make a dead person alive, a person in the close vicinity would die. That was a really interesting plot and I don’t understand why it ended just after completing 2 seasons.

The cast of Pushing Daisies series included Lee Pace as Ned, Anna Friel as Chuck, Chi McBride as Emerson Cod, Kristin Chenoweth as Olive Snook, EllenGreene as Vivian Charles and Swoosie Kurtz as Lily Charles.
